This Channel is mainly about arrow building, archery and bowhunting, but I'll throw a few other outdoors clips in as well.
About Me:

Bounty Hunter Traditional Arrows
I'm a part time Arrowsmith, in other words I still work a full time job to pay the bills. I make arrows because I love making them and seeing peoples faces when they shoot a really well made arrow. I really specialize in Medieval Style Self Nock arrows with Sinew Wrapped Feather Fletching. I do build other arrows of wood and carbon, but the Medieval Arrows are my pride and joy.

I've been actively bowhunting since I was 13 years old and have been shooting bows since I was 6. In those early years there were not a lot of bow shops so you needed to learn to work on your bows and especially your arrows. I have been building my own arrows now for about 30 years but just recently started building Medieval style arrows.

The Medieval style arrow really started with my Daughter's wedding. She had always dreamed of a Medieval Theme wedding and my Wife and I made it happen. I decided to go as an Archer and needed period correct arrows so I did the research and built my first set for her wedding. I enjoyed building them so much I have started doing it as a hobby. The problem with this hobby is I end up with more arrows than I can ever use myself. So from my hobby folks can get a set of Medieval Style arrows at a better price than you can find in the Medieval shops, and they are much better quality than those the shops carry.

If you would like to know more about my arrows you can check me out on FaceBook using the link above. You can also send me an email at bhtamail@verizon.net

Jonney I just posted a new feather splicing video that should help you and others with the more fancier splices. Let me know what you think of the video.

I love the videos man,i love how you make your arrpws, the heads are amazing and im interested in trying to make my own wooden shafts, and the splicing the feathers ive been trying the membrane way, but the way you do the small sections how do you do them?? like you have one for two quills then a bigger then the same amount section, how do you do that??

jonneyj, I'm sorry for not getting another video made as yet. This is not a great time for me to be making non-hunting related videos as I'm spending a lot of time in the woods hunting and not much time in the shop working on arrows. I'll see if I can get some time this week to shoot the video. Striping the quill skin and feathers from the quill takes some practice to get right. Not all feathers are equal so plan on some of the quill behind from time to time. All I can tell you is keep practicing and you will get good.

Good evining sir, I was wondering if you could tell me alil more on splicing, ive tried to cut the quill skin off, and it always chunked off with the under material, any advice?

Some videos I'll be making in the near future are; "Feather Splicing and Chopping" and "Making Broadheads from Saw Blades". If anyone has any other "How-to" videos they would like to see let me know and I'll see what I can do to shot one for you. Thanks!!!!

Thanks Jonney and welcome. I've been meaning on doing a video of splicing full length feathers. That is the way I actually do all of my splcing, the other video is to help out folks that don't have choppers. If I get a chance I'll do a video on it sometime this week.

Wonderful videos, Im looking to do some splicing myself, i am looking into doing some either with a red barred in the front, black in the back or blue barred and black in the rear, im trying to use full feathers, and using the pope & young cut with Maxima blue streak select, any advice??
