I do video editing since 2006 now and I keep getting better and better.
When I started, I was using windows movie maker on a 4 years old PC and a Canon Powershot to record. I started doing visual effects on summer of 2006. I was using the trial version of Vision Lab Studio, so I couldn't export my videos. Since I was not concerned about quality, I filmed my computer screen so save up my work. As an example of that, my first lightsaber duel on youtube was done like that.At Christmas in 2006, I got Roxio easy media Creator 9. I was so happy and I started to edit with it. It's after this event that I signed up on Youtube. At the time, I was only uploading magic stuff, but still editing here at my home. It was around this time that my computer crashed. In the summer of 2007, I did a video with my friend called "Lightsaber duel" (wich I mentionned before). I wanted to make more complex video but I couldn't. In November of 2008 I finally got a Mac, along with Adobe After effects. This was the big start for me. I could finally bring to life everything I had in mind. My first video was "visual effects montage (adobe after effects cs4)" and it is still my most popular video on youtube.

Q: What equipement do you use?
A: I use a Canon 7D to shoot and Mac Pro quad-core Xeon to edit. The programs I use are Adobe After Effects CS5, Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, Blender 2.57. I'm currently learning Maya so I'm gonna start to use it soon.
Q: How much is Adobe After Effects?
A: Well, it's a thousand dollar, but if you're a student, you can get it for like 400$ on websites like

Q: Where can I post video or tutorial requests?
A: On facebook or Twitter, I check daily. The links are at the top of this page.
Q: Will this effect work in After effects CS4?
A: In the CS5 version, all there is more is only 64-bit native (mandatory) on OS X and Windows, Roto Brush tool, Refine Matte effect, mocha v2, LUT support, AVC-Intra import and improved RED (R3D) support, Align panel improvements, Synthetic Aperture Color Finesse 3, Digieffects FreeForm and auto-keyframe mode. So there aren't any big changes that would block you from doing a video. Also, the best thing you could do, is to try to get around a problem due to an old version. This would greatly help you to improvise, wich is a huge thing is visual effects.
Q: Please do some tutorials!
A: Well, you are not saying exactly what effect or even what type of effect you want. When this happen I don't know what you want so I can't do a tutorial. Oh and like I said before, if you have a clear request to ask me, the best places to post it are on my twitter or facebook page (The links are at the top of this page).
Q: Your content is getting worse, your channel is about VFX. If I want to see a camera video quality I would go to a YouTube tech reviewer, stop uploading stuff like this.
A: Well It's my channel, I can upload whatever I want. And I don't wanna just put VFX stuff on here, I also want to put other filmmaking stuff because I like that. If I stay with my main subject all the time and get really popular one day, I'll just have to upload one different video and everyone would become trolls. So that's why I want that people understand right now that I don't just do visual effects, but filmmaking stuff in general.
