Well certainly you cannot take the bible as a pure source of moral guidelines: it is filled with rules we would not like anymore. So every Christian has to make a selection, or often the church will do that for you. Also social surroundings help. Like, how many Christians have one set of clothes? How many Christians do help like the Samaritan when people are needy? Also, you adapt to the law of your country, I hope, and traffic rules are not based on the bible.
So my point is, one cannot use the bible as the 100% moral source. One has to apply extra filters and additional rules.
