Music with a SOUL

In February 2008, California songwriter Jill Marie met Arkansas songwriter Bryson VanCleve at Poet Roni Girl's "Acoustically Speaking" show in Los Angeles, California. Not too long after, Bryson asked Jill to sing backing vocals on some tunes on his 2008 solo album "HALFWAY TO HOMELESS" and together they recorded her 2009 solo album "ALL HEARTS". This album as well as the first tune they wrote together "Waiting for the Sun" are a dedication to Jill's brother Jason who passed in March 2009.

Bryson and Jill became great friends recording, writing, performing and knew they were destined to be together. In September 2008, after a decade of performing acoustically and in bands, they were confident they could make their dream of playing music full time a reality and decided to marry while planning their first U.S. tour.

In April 2009 they left their city apartment and jobs, becoming homeless to hit the road, while staying happily married through everything. After literally calling the road their home for one year Troubaduo was welcomed into four major U.S. festivals, landed their Willie Nelson tribute song "Leave Willie Alone" on National radio distribution, and were working on their 2010 album WE LIVE IN THE GRAY with world renown drummer Curt Bisquera and producer Bob Daspit with Artisan Music and Sound. In June 2010, Troubaduo was invited to a studio shoot at Time Warner Studios in Staten Island, New York to appear in front of 900,000 viewers in Los Angeles and New York City on Jason Taylor's "Mallet's Place TV". All of this happened independently without a major record label, booking agent, manager, recording engineer, etc.

Bryson and Jill Marie VanCleve have always stuck to their soul when it comes to writing and recording music and have been blessed to travel a path few independent artists in the modern era dare to. They have made music a lifetime career, writing, recording and touring consistently in almost every state across the continental U.S. claiming God as their guide. The two troubadours will continue to enjoy sharing their art to the masses helping as many as they can along the way including non-profits such as BuyShoesSaveLives.com, a reputable non-profit the duo has partnered with, that helps give children who have experienced chemical warfare in Northern Iraq new hearts through Preemptive Love.
