About Me:

there are, for all of us, certainly times, as we glide across the great disco floor of life, when the only move we seem to be able to master is the old '2 Steps Forward/3 Steps Backward Hustle'; a dubious groove which, if repeated enough times could, it goes without saying, seriously mess with one's inner sense of divine boogieness. there is however, should one find themselves feeling both adventurous AND totally unafraid to look quite possibly, incredibly silly, a distinct advantage in embracing, even encouraging, their little two-left-footer within, to bust a bold, new move; a process especially effective when applied directly to the 2 Step Forward/3 Step Back approach (assuming, for the moment anyway, that this is still the only dance move you've got to work with), thereby putting a potentially exciting, if highly unpredictable spin on the proceedings. couldn't be any more ridiculous than what you were doing before, could it? i mean, c'mon, what's really the worst case scenario we're talkin' here?....so now you're taking, say, 2 steps briskly forward and 3 steps tentatively back, as usual..............but then SUDDenly you take two MORE backward steps, though this time veering diagonally and sharply to the left...followed by an unexpectedly soul-freeing, levitational, if characteristically arhythmical, half step up off the very dance floor itself...and in that moment your entiiiire world has changed, debatably, for the better!; somehow the music seems just that much more vibrant...the glare of the disco ball just that much sparklier, the lyrics to Andy Gibb songs suddenly resonating with a whole new meaning for you... even your bellbottoms don't seem nearly as uncomfortably tight as they did last Saturday night. MAYbe, you think to yourself...'The Fever'...has broken at last...MAYbe....just maybe...you've finally seen The Strobelight and been healed.

...okay, sure, hypothetically speaking, i suppose if you were to keep this particular dance up, after awhile you'd eventually one day find yourself miles away from, not to mention way, way, waaaaaay off to the side of where you initially wanted to be. true, but.....just think of the view you'd have.

regardless which of the infinite number of variations on ways to shake your proverbial booty you inevitably end up choosing,
ease on down,
ease on down the road.
