Hi I'm from Melbourne, we all witnessed one of these 1 minute past midnite ny's eve here... no chinese latern... it moved towards us...stopped and hovered above us for a minute or so, then accelerated quickly to the left then went straight up to the stars...the fact that they were spotted around ...

We saw it too, we live in St Kilda... it flew towards us from Elwood beach, then it just stopped and hovered for about a min or two and then went from big to small then it disapeared as it got higher in the sky... Big bright orange light!! Excellent!!

We live in St Kilda, when the fireworks were going off in Elwood we witnessed an orange orb come towards us, hover above us, move very fast to the left the it went up and dissapeared...Fantastic!! It was no chinese lantern thats for sure, don't worry...a lot of people aren't ready to accept it.. ...
