Hey, A nineteen year old musician born & raised in Toronto, CA. I am currently enrolled in an online program at Daytona state College in Daytona, FL perusing a course in Business Management. Throughout my life there have only been two things that kept me motivated and inspired to do something with my life which is my music and family. I feel that music is what feelings sound like and it's the soundtrack to peoples' lives, that's why I wake up every day ready to express my feelings. I started out as a producer making beats and engineering about four years ago while I was still in high school. Over the past years I've been studying music production the old fashion way; taking notes & trial and error and everyone around me was able to see what I was capable of doing. With that said, I am the founder of the group K.B.G (Kingz B4 Generalz) it is a five man hip-hop/ R&B group that was established around September of 2007.
Growing up in Scarborough with my mother, we built a studio in the basement and started recording material while studying the guidelines to a successful career in the music industry. We have been blessed to make music with other musicians in our community and share it with the world. In addition to growing up in our times it's simple to get your music out to the public, my group was able to receive over 100,000 profile views and song plays on MySpace & over 15,000 views on our 1st self released video on YouTube gaining us an awards for the Most viewed video in Canada. We are currently promoting our new Mix tape titled "Finally in Paradise" and we named it that because we felt once we finished recording the whole CD we could just kick back and soak up the glory. We also call our music "Feel Good Music" because our songs deal with real day-to-day issues and stereotypes that mold our world, but yet we still do it on uplifting up-tempo beats.
My main role of the group is to handle the business portion and longevity of the group. On the other hand I mix & master, I direct & edit our music videos along side with taking care of the day to day assignments. My main goal is to inspire other artist to step out of the box and get creative with their music and video ideas. I feel that even if I didn't get paid to perform or to feature on peoples tracks I would still do it for free because this is what I love and people that are in it for the money normally don't make any. Music is life, and life itself is a job and like every job you must take pride in your work to be the best you could be. Most important; you must love what you do and I couldn't tell you anything else I would be doing other than music or something in the Media industry.
