ATHEIST
i'm a patriot..not a nationalist
"It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag."
"A love for tradition has never weakened a nation, indeed it has strengthened nations in their hour of peril". Winston Churchill
People with courage and character always seem sinister to the rest.

About Me:
I WAS BORN AN ENGLISHMAN
AND WILL DIE AN ENGLISHMAN.
Firstly there were the welsh
Who prayed on there knees
And on there neighbours.
Secondly there were the Scots
Who kept the Sabbath and
anything else there could.
Thirdly there were the Irish
Who never know what they wanted
But were always willing to fight for
it anyway.
Lastly there were the English
Who considered themselves a self
made nation.
Thus relieving the almighty of an awesome responsibility..
"do your duty". so many men died doing just that...It is what every Englishman as to do for the love of his country....
and the english do it the best

I'm Free
Author Unknown
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God has laid you see.
I took his hand when I heard his call.
I turned back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found the peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys---
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee---
God wanted me now, he set me free.
The stranger within my gate.
He may be true or kind.
But he does not talk -
I cannot feel his mind.
I see the face and the eyes and the mouth,
But not the soul behind.
The men of my own stock
They may do ill or well.
But they tell the lies I am wonted to,
They are used to the lies I tell.
We do not need interpreters
When we go to buy or sell.
The Stranger within my gates.
He may be evil or good,
But I cannot tell what powers control -
what reasons sway his mood;
Nor when the Gods of his far-off land
May repossess his blood.
The men of my own stock,
Bitter bad they may be,
But, at least they hear the things I hear
And see the things I see;
And whatever I think of them and their likes
They think of the likes of me.
This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf - And the grapes be all one vine
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.
Rudyard Kipling
Don't say you're English
From the Queen's Royal Lancer's Website:
Goodbye to my England, So long my old friend
Your days are numbered, being brought to an end
To be Scottish, Irish or Welsh that's fine
But don't say you're English, that's way out of line.
The French and the Germans may call themselves such
As may Norwgians, the Swedes and the Dutch
You can say you are Russian or maybe a Dane
But don't say you're English ever again
At Broadcasting House the word is taboo
In Brussels its Scrapped, in Parliament too
Even schools are affected, staff do as they're told
They must not teach children about England of old
Writers like Shakespeare, Milton and Shaw
The pupils do not learn about them anymore
How about Agincourt, Hastings, Arnhem or Mons
When England lost hosts of her very brave sons
We are not Europeans, how can we be?
Europe is miles away over the sea
We're the English from England, let's all be proud
Stand up and be counted- Shout it out loud
Let's tell our Government and Brussels too
We're proud of our heritage and the red Whitee and blue
Fly the flag of Saint George or the Union Jack
Let the world know - we want OUR ENGLAND BACK !!!!
Oh! How true!! .............................. Pass it on
Colonies do not cease to be colonies because they are independent.
Benjamin Disraeli
