A Buddhist monk for over 26 years, Lama Tsony completed two traditional 3-year retreats under the guidance of the great meditation master Lama Gendun Rinpoche. Lama Tsony serves as the Abbot of Kundreul Ling Monastery in the Auvergne region of France where hundreds of other westerners have also completed 3-year retreats. For the past 15 years, Lama Tsony has taught Buddhism and meditation practice throughout Europe and the US.

About the Teacher:
Born in Germany, Dharma-Teacher Töndrup Rabten came to meet with the Buddha's teaching at the age of 20 on an extended travel in India. Upon return to Europe he met Lama Gendun Rinpoche and partook in two successive three-year retreats following the inspiration given by this exceptional master. Nowadays he divides his time between further Buddhist studies and teaches in centers of the Karma Kagyu lineage.

About the Teacher: Lobpon Tsering, the Headmaster of Shri Diwakar Vihara Buddhist Institute in Kalimpong, India received the degree of Acharya (Master of Philosophy) in 1990 from the Shri Karma Nalanda Institute at Rumteck in Sikkim, India. He then continued as a teacher at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute www.kibi-edu.org in New Delhi from 6 years and taught throughout Asia, Europe and North America.

About the Teacher: At the age of 20, Julia Tenzin became a student of Lama Gendun Rinpoche. A Tibetan master of the Karma Kagyu Lineage, Gendun Rinpoche spent half of his life in meditation retreats and attained the highest level of realization. For ten years, Julia Tenzin received Buddhist meditation training in his retreat centers in France, accomplishing three cycles of the traditional three-year retreat where she received the transmissions of the Karma Kagyu Lineage. After several years of teaching activity in Europe, she is presently a M.A. student for Buddhist Studies at the University of the West in Rosemead, California.
