About this user

Bruno Levy was born in Paris in 1979.
He completed a BFA in photography at Tisch School of the Arts NYU in 2001. Today he works in diverse mediums that range from video, photography, music, painting, drawing and tattooing.
In 2001 Bruno Levy co-founded and managed SQUARESQUARE, a media company specializing in live video, design and motion graphics. Apple and Wired magazine both recognized SQUARESQUARE as a pioneer in video scratching.
Since 2003, he worked as a travel photographer, selling his works through Corbis Images, capturing everything from the Dalai Lama (in portraits) to underwater battles between hammerhead sharks and dolphins in the Marquesas, French Polynesia.
In 2006, his travels led him to Nepal, where he spent his time practicing Buddhism and living in a monastery, working in a tattoo shop.
In 2009, he returned to NYC. were he directed and shot music videos for The Walkmen and Modeselektor and collaborated with Blake Shaw on new media art project SWEATSHOPPE, .
Bruno Levy has worked commercially for clients such as Sprite, Pepsi, Panasonic, Bloomberg Lp, Gant, Ben Sherman, Ogilvy & Mather, Estee Lauder, Wired, XLR8R, and Hurley International.
His works have been exhibited by, among others, at the Guggenheim, the SFMOMA, the MCA in Chicago, the Bronx Museum, the Jumbotron in Times Square, 111 minna, the San Jose Museum of Art, and the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Arts, White Box Gallery NY, Christopher Henry Gallery, Ise Cultural Foundation and SCOPE Art Fair.
He currently lives and works in New York City
