As for Windows 7, it's okay but it sucks that it won't support most things from the 90s whereas XP would. This is the main reason most companies and institutions still use XP.

Judging by the style of the error, that BSOD could have been 7, Vista, or XP. Most likely XP though because most companies use XP because Vista and 7 don't have the backwards compatibility needed to run a lot of their applications.
