Though I'm just theorizing, not saying my theory is better than the next. But the writers obviously put a lot of thought into the story, and it would be kind of a shoddy ending if a kind of secondary character who is rarely mentioned is revealed as Red John.

@blahblahblahman We as men get that women dont want jerks. They just don't want some bumbling, zero confidence fool. One thing that really annoys me is that a lot of "nice guys" just assume that someone who's dating an attractive woman must be a jerk.

@TheKwesi45 there are plenty of women in the US and "Western" who are great. Just not all these high-maintenance girls who think there is a code to relationships and that their boyfriend has to be something out of a romance novel.

bottom line is the average girl has really unrealistic expectations of guys. They want a nice guy. but they also don't. especially young girls. That's why the concept of high school dating is a bunch of shit.
