@Gregorypeckory I saw them on the same bill in 1975, JM came back out during the encore to play with Jeff and challenged him - big mistake! Jeff absolutely fucking shredded him, played McLaughlins riff back at him at double speed with his guitar FLIPPED BACKWARDS BEHIND HIS HEAD!

I was at this show, a very good one! But the one the year before at Cobo was Epic !

It's a shame that the film crews back in the day didn't have a clue what they should be filming, Claptons over there wailing and they are showing Bruce just running the bass line.This used to happen all the time, it's like that in the Cream movie too, too bad. I guess we're lucky to have what we do!

@PoeticJustice05 It's a one way street because Hendrix can't speak for himself today. If he could I'm sure he would heap big praise on Jeff. They had a lot of respect for each other back in the day.

Man, that pedal drives the amp just right! Actually sounds very Cream-y I think you could just about nail the Fresh Cream sound.

@bluesaxeful YEP! In 1972 in Detroit, at the famous Cobo Arena, I saw Led Zep and the Stones, three weeks apart. The Stones were not even in the same universe! The crowd came out of the three and a half hour Zep show absolutely in shock. It still is the most powerful thing I have ever seen!
