Give me folk, bluegrass, classic country, traditional, hymns and southern gospel from long ago! I like other stuff too. :-)
I once played and sang daily and I also write songs. Unfortunately due to problems with my hands and now my larynx I am not playing and singing at all. I miss it so very much as it was something I really loved to do and could really sing some good ones I think quite well (so they say ;) ). Music is in me, singing is my greatest joy and great therapy for times I feel blue or want to disappear from this harsh world, music brings beauty into my soul. I am so addicted to Youtube, it's filling that void in me that making music, playing and singing my heart out once filled. So all you singers, songwriters and musicians I want you to know how very important you are to me.
I am a Christian with a strong faith in God. I am glad to find so many friends here who share my love for gospel music. I am also glad to find so many brothers and sisters of the Faith. Remember, there is power in prayer and that God is love.

the world is small. went to a site of nemo james.com.--which took me to this bluegrass site. i lived in nashville for 10 yrs--and went to the great smokey mountains at least 5 times a year. nobody ever told me i had to be a christian to enjoy bluegrass music. i just enjoy the music--and the mountains. but i am a atheist.

the world is really small. first i am talking to a person who lives in croatia--then i get kicked back to the great smokey mountains--and my fav bluegrass singer--allison krauss. my fav vacation is gatlinburg, tn. did you read my mind?
