Cheers for the concern - toothache is hell:(
I always knew you were a horror geek - that's why we get on so well lol!
I can't bloody wait for Rec 3, also Prometheus & World War Z are my most anticipated films of 2012.
Have you seen the remake of The Thing yet?
I hate to say it but I loved it.
Also I can't wait for Humpty Dumpty 3D LMAO!!!

Yeah, 'Kill List' won't be everyone's cup of tea but you should defo watch it mate. I know what you mean about "big George" - I loved Diary Of The Dead - which a lot of people seem to hate. The only zombie film of his I didn't like was Survival Of The Dead. That was piss poor imo. I've had my beady eye on 'Elephant' but never heard of 'Scalene until now' - looks promising:)
Seen Troll Hunter yet? If not then get it watched! I really liked it.
The Straw Dogs remake isn't too bad but if you're a diehard fan of the Peckinpah version then you might want to avoid it lol!
Also, be sure to check out Grave Encounters - it's a 'found footage' flick, a bit like a cross between The Blair Witch & Session 9.
Sorry to hear you've had a shit time of it lately Elizabeth. Hope the rest of 2012 is kinder to you pal.
Take care.

Cheers for the heads up Liza. I'm not on FB nor do I have any plans on registering.
If you'd like to join UHM.com or BD.com then I'm 'Fulcento' and 'Mogwai' respectively.
Tbh I'd rather just natter away on here mate. Have you seen 'Kill List' yet? It's the best and most ballsy (ballsy, what a word lol) horror film to come out of England in Donkey's years. It's got everything you could ever want from a horror flick. I give it a solid 9 out of 10.
'Stake Land' is pretty good too.
And, just for shits and giggles, check out 'Chillerama' - it's an anthology film that is so bad it's good:D
I hope you stay on dese choobs mate...

How's tricks Elizabeth?
I watched an uncut copy of The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence this week. I hear that the BBFC have excised 2 minutes out of it? Personally I NEVER watch censored prints, the BBFC can suck my hairy balls haha but it is a bloody brutal film - I believe they've cut the sandpaper wank, the baby squishing and the barbed-wire-anal-rape scenes: ie all the good stuff! It's an experience - I'll give it that much:D
Also (and I'm sure you've seen this one) I also watched 'The Unnamable', I can't believe I'd never heard of it until now - it's got the lot - a haunted house in the woods, slutty co-eds, a cool monster and dumb jocks getting pulverised. Plus a killer script (it is a Lovecraftian tale afterall) so enjoy my friend...
I also watched Paranormal Activity 3 but fuck that shit:(
Hope you're well mate...

Hiya Liza - I've got my dept's quarterly review tomorrow morning - yay!!!
Anyway, couple of blinders to tell you about - 'The Dead', a zombie film, set in west Africa (Burkino Faso)featuring THE slowest undead shufflers ever committed to celluloid and 'Melancholia', an utterly depressing film by Lars Von Trier.
'The Dead' is a fun and gory throwback to the zombies of yore, Melancholia will rip your chest apart and linger for days afterwards.
And on a lighter note - if you ever want to see a 'so bad it's hilarious' type of horror film then check out 'Sla$hers', it's fucking drivel!!!

Yeah, it was you that told me about The Horseman so thanks for that, without you I'd never have seen that one. It's one of my favourite revenge films so cheers again. I saw Tucker And Dale Vs Evil about 3 months ago (no shit), I downloaded a workprint long before the cinema release and I can vouch that it's flaming well hilarious. It's more of a rom-com with gory scenes, I love that film, I've watched it 3 times since I downloaded it.
I've never heard of Exhibit A 'til now so I'll look into that one...
I watched 'Needle' this evening and I liked it, a bit distracting how all the actors seemed to be American spouting Australian accents but it was gory and well paced. Think Hellraiser meets voodoo dolls and you get the idea.
Ps - if you want to know how I saw T & D V E so prematurely then drop me a pm...

Hi Elizabeth. Long time no speak. I finally watched 'Attack The Block' last night, it was a bit of a let-down tbh. I had such high hopes when I heard Joe Cornish was going to be making a horror comedy but it was a bit too sci-fi/crime based for me. It wasn't bad though. I've probably seen about a hundred horror films since we last spoke so I'm not sure where to begin! A few I've seen recently that spring to mind are 'YellowBrickRoad', it was never scary but it used music and sound as a psychological weapon fairly well. 'Hobo With A shotgun', not a horror, more of an exploitation film with cartoon levels of violence & gore, I fucking loved it! And one that I highly recommend - 'The Loved Ones', an Aussie film that you have GOT to see. It's fucking nuts:D
Hope you're well mate, seeya...

Cheers for the heads up on those 2 films, I've already seen Recut, I liked it, there's soooo many horror films about the snuff legend but Recut's one of the better ones, I've ordered Lake Mungo so I'll let you know. I watched 'After Midnight' last week, it's a 1989 anthology horror and I luuuurved it. I'm gonna watch 'Bleeders' and 'A Four Course Meal' this week, I've been longing to watch A Four Course Meal for yonks and I finally got a copy yesterday! I can't wait:D

I'm back to rant! Whoppeee!!!
No reviews, just some horror recommendations and ones to avoid 4 ya:
Insidious - DO believe the hype mate, scariest film I've seen in a long time, totally retro, loved it.
Tales From The Crapper - probs not your sort of film but I liked the boobies haha!
I Saw The Devil - Amazing, simply amazing.
Chatroom - shite.
Storm Warning - pretty decent Oz slasher, not bad at all.
Scream 4 - two word review for this - fucking shit.
Give me some recommendations Elizabeth, it was you that told me about Kynodontas & The Horseman, I need more films like that in my life lol!!!
