you seem to be making that signature lick a lot more difficult than it is by playing the B-bar all the way up at the 7th fret....the lick can be played at the second fret posititon on the 4th and 5th string B chord and then using the little finger to slide down from the D note on the 5th string. ...

@QueenOfTheSea101 Still America....just my opinion...Sammy's done some songs I've liked...this is just terrible. I run a studio here and have worked some of the best singers in town. My complaint here is the lame performance...not that Sammy can't sing.

swa Huey and the boys do this at The Spectrum in Philly back in the 80s just after Phil Lynott had passed. Lynott gave Huey work back in the70s playing harp before the "News" days...hence the connection. These guys are supreme musicians as this clip obviously shows.

well yeah...three guitar parts but Ed King's part here is done with two note plucks...not single note...lots of palm muting also. It's a great lick. At least I think it's Ed playing here..could be Allen on a strat...definitely a strat though.

one of my fav Ed King solos....so much cool stuff goin' on...the only thing missing here is that Ed switches to the bridge pickup halfway through and uses his whammy bar at spots for effect...slammin' job though

when Elvis covered a song it was pretty much over...Ronnie Dunn has the same kind of vocal power...just a pure voice and stylist who consistently knocks 'em out of the park. One of the few singers in Nashville who doesn't need ProTools to make a great record.
