My wife kept her hand on er apeny till we married, and then forget she had a ha'penny. Life is cruel.

Tears and more tears........I married a girl from Wigan in the 50's, and we went on many occation to see 5t penny.

My wife died some 10 years later and I now have only memories. I found this by accident, I'm glad |I was alone when it appeared on utube !!!!

Totrallty agree!!! I lived in trhe Isle of man during these formative years, I loved the music and did in fact in later years work on radio caroline. I then progressed to operating a discotec company for many years. I still at 70 something years here in France wiyth a sound syste...
