"Well this is a game changer," I said to myself as I sat on the cold city curb, her voice still lingering in my mind. The taste of her lips was still on my own. I'm not really used to getting turned down. I'd talk to my dad. I'd work this out. I had to. I know it sounds cliché and stupid but I've never felt this way about a girl before. As I was attempting to sneak up the mahogany staircase in my home I heard a familiar voice call out from behind me, "Logan?" "Hey Lucy," I greeted my older sister. I just wanted to disappear. "Where were you all morning?" "Uh, I was on a date." "A date? What's her name? Assuming they're a girl, of course," She grinned. "Selena, her name's Selena." "What's her last name?" "Are mom and dad home?" I asked looking around. "No, why?" "Just promise me you won't say anything to them yet!" "Logan, I promise. Just tell me what's going on!" "Her name is Selena Gomez," I said bracing myself for her reaction. "Selena Gomez as in Gomez Banking?" "Um, yeah." "Aw! That is so cute Logan! It's like forbidden love or something! What is she like?" She asked getting excited. "She's really funny and nice and... just, classy." "She sounds like a step up from those other girls you've dated. What does she look like?" "She's beautiful. Long brown hair, mocha colored eyes. Long legs." "Sounds like you really like her," she observed. "I do, but there's a problem. When she found out who I was she totally freaked out and said her dad would kill her if he found out. She said she was sorry and just... left." "Oooo!" She cooed. "Mysterious!" I laughed at my sister's excitement. "I just... don't know what to do. I really like her and I'm afraid she won't talk to me." "Well you won't know until you try! Go talk to her!" I nodded and started back down the stairs. I quickly caught a taxi and was dropped off at the Plaza. Right as I was pressing the 'up' button for the elevator I realized that I didn't even know what floor she lived on, much less her room number. I went to the front desk. "Excuse me sir, can you tell me what room Selena Gomez is in?" "Are you family?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "No," I replied. "Well, I'm not supposed to give you that information so don't tell anyone but I'll check for you," He said smiling nicely. He typed some stuff in on his computer. "Thank you!" "Gomez, Selena... Royal Terrace Suite room 1212 on the 20th and 21st floors." I shook his hand, "Thank you so much!" With that I was off to the elevator pressing the button as soon as I got in. The elevator seemed to take an eternity to get up to the 20th floor but when it did I wasted no time finding her door. I knocked on the wooden door only waiting for a few seconds before a guy about my height opened it, maybe a few years older than me.

Eventually we got tired of dancing and just sat down and talked for a while. He would tell jokes and I would laugh even if some aren't even funny. I could tell that sitting under the moon light with background music with probably make him nervous, but I don't mind.
"You know, I never expected that I would enjoy this." He told me when we got quiet.
"Me too," I said. "I'm glad you're enjoying it."
"Yeah, want to know why?" He bit my lip.
"Sure." I nodded.
"Because I'm with you, and I wouldn't to be with any girl right now. Just you and me together."
"Wow, Percy." I said. "You feel that way right now?"
"Yup," He said.
"Well, ditto." I agreed. "We never had a conversation like this without even strangling each other."
"I know right, it's a miracle."
I laughed. "Must be our night."
"It probably is," He said. "I want to give you something"
"What is it?"
He reached into his back pocket and held out a silver heart shape locket, it glistened under the moon light. It wasn't that big and it wasn't that small, just right. He handed it to me and I took it.
"This is beautiful." I breathed. "You bought this?"
"No, um..." He rubbed his forehead. "It's really hard to explain."
"Oh, someone gave it to you?" I asked.
"It's something like that." He explained. "Open it."
I did. It had something engrave inside. "The heart never forgets." Something tingled inside me, like something's about to happen, something bad.
"Thank you, Percy." I smiled. "I'm sorry I didn't get you anything."
"That's alright," He said. "I wasn't expecting it either."
I snickered. "What?"
"I mean, um..."
I don't know why or how this happened but suddenly he kissed me. I was surprised but I kissed him back. Kissing under the moon light, wow I thought. Stuff like this only happens in the movies.
He pulled away. "Sorry, I didn't mean to—"
"It's alright Percy," I told him.
Okay, I have to admit. I was kind of expecting it. I mean, this just proves that he like me too right? I'm totally blushing now; I really hope he doesn't notice.
"You're not mad?" He wondered.
"No, why would I be?" I asked, confused.
"Um—" He started to say.
Before he could continue Jason asked for a dance, I wouldn't want to be rude so I said yes. Percy was asked by Piper, so I would ask him later about our conversation. I've been dancing for half an hour so I decided to have a drink.
"Hey Bobby," I greeted. "Why are you the punch boy?"
"Punishment." He sighed.
"Aw, well it wasn't your fault that the CD's got lost." I said.
He smiled a little. "Thanks, so punch?"
"Yep, thanks."
"Oh, hold on." He said. "Out of cups, I'll be right back."
"Sure, okay."
After a minute, he was back. He purred me a cup full of punch. It tasted delicious; I realized that I was really thirsty so I drank all of it, until the last drop. But the bottom tasted a little off...
