An older Goodman packaged unit PCK036 w/ 10KVa /60 amp breaker, single whip...how is the wiring protected on the compressor?...I may have to upgrade to a 15 KVa Heat Kit, and I was wondering about the compressor breaker, which I do not see on this unit.

Dr. Z, Some A/C package units have 2 whips going to them, and some have only 1. For the unit that only has 1 whip, the heat kit takes 60 amp breaker(10Kva), but what about the compressor?

Hey Fritz, Customer's gotta Goodman package unit, with 9.4 KVa, Heat strip kit. We believe they need 15 KVa, to really give this customer the right amount of heat for the structure.
