Hey blenderdude. I hope this question isn't too personal, but what exactly do you do for a living? I notice that you are very procedural and have a very high attention to detail during your tests. It makes your tests very enjoyable to watch knowing there are little to no biases involved. You have that ability to really speak purposefully and lay it out piece by piece when you describe something. Respect to that. Cheers.

Love2TravelAway, I can tell you from my recall of the video that the difference in texture was almost nonexistent. They were equally smooth. If I had used a strainer, I seriously doubt you would have been able to tell much, if any, difference in the amount of pulp left behind. There would have been very little with either. That said, if there was any difference between the two, it could be easily balanced by running one or the other for just a few extra seconds. Because the difference is so negligible, I would not let this be a big factor in my buying decision. The Vitamix has long been an industry-standard blender in restaurant kitchens for sauces, moles, etc. You can't go wrong with it. The Blendtec is also capable of these functions, though.

Short Test, Juice I HAD A QUESTION when you blend the juice all you said your didnt see a diffrence. One question that I do have is how much pulp did each one have, have you done the test to use a strainer, to see WHICH ONE LEAVES MORE PULP, that what Im so intresting in knowing, For this christmas I want to purchase a blender I use a blender always for sauces, smothing, chiles you name it I get a lot of my cooking done with a blender not to mention Mexican moles. Very important question. The answer is dependent upon when you bought your blender. Every new Vitamix and Blendtec sold today comes with a BPA-free container. The containers for both blenders have not always been BPA-free. For Vitamix, the change from non-BPA-free to BPA-free occurred in late 2007. For Blendtec, 2009. If you purchased your Vitamix in 2008 or later your container does not contain BPA. Regardless of which blender you purchase for your mother now, however, this will not be a concern. Hi!! thank you very much for the great reviews. I have a quick question you maybe able to answer. I have a Vita mix. And have being toll that the plastic use on the jar contains BPA And that the blendtec jard is free of it. Is this true? I have my mom starting on green smoothies and we are looking to buy a blender for her: she has had cancer and other toxic related complications. I would not want her to be blending her smoothies on a blender that would release toxins into her food. Thank you very much for your time and energy!!
