@adroit44 You are missing the point. The systemic failure in the American education system is just that, systemic. Every part of the system, parents included, is not working efficiently and effectively. There is no golden solution, no "superman", that can solve the problems we are facing.

@jbennett9109 You act as if the teachers just get money for doing nothing. You should keep in mind that this is one of the best education systems in the nation and likewise the world. Yet these teachers are still paid demonstratively pitiful salaries for the work they do. Don't get me wrong there...
