These comparisons are quite absurd, if I may be blunt. Barbra is Barbra is Barbra, and that's the end of the story. If you've ever seen her live (as I have: I'm fortunate!), you really know how incomparable her magic is.

Humor, subtlety, a sense of fun and self-mockery (a tricky combination to pull off)--and she sings herself! Diamond Lil never heard of lip syncing! Long may she wave!
