The war between God and the Devil in this world (Good vs. Evil) is all about who will get final custody of our soul.
The "American Dream" is all about sitting idly by, thinking that everything is going to turn out all right; but I believe we have an obligation to stand up to and speak out against evil. Apathy or feigning ignorance is complicit with evil.
What would Jesus do in a slaughterhouse or a vivisection lab or a breeding farm? He'd free every last one of the animals and kick the sinners out, just as he did in the Temple with those selling animals for sacrifice.
Animals have eyes, hearts, souls and close bonds with family just like us. They feel emotions and pain. They are not here for us to use, abuse, profit from, exploit, torture, treat as slaves, slaughter, make into products for convenience or luxury, or feel "superior" to.
I believe that animals, not humans, are the only species God gave the capacity to feel true unconditional love. We have a lot to learn from them morally and ethically.
I boycott anything to do with a product that has caused harm, suffering or death to an animal. I believe that once one realizes where meat comes from, what goes on at a dairy farm or a chicken or egg farm, what goes on in vivisection labs to produce pharmaceutical drugs and household poisons, you then have an obligation to not participate in the cruelty. To become aware and not make some sort of a sacrifice is a decision to participate in evil.
I don't expect people to immediately agree with my viewpoint, especially if they feel twinges of guilt in doing things they've never paused to question, but I do hope they will become more aware that God did not give us animals to harm or kill but to love and learn from. We all have an obligation to speak out against whatever evil we see being done to any innocent being, whether it be human or another species.
