Design, construction and onsite service of specialized machinery for the manufacture of integrated circuits. Things like plasma etchers, photoresist coaters and developers, ionic implanters, diffusion ovens, etc. for various wafer sizes. I also do some metrology equipment services for the medical field. Most of my clients are 24/7 operations, some of which I can monitor with network databases. I am currently exploring some new nanotechnology applications and looking to expand into robotic surgical devices. Weapons of warfare and medicine... Medical devices are weapons against disease. Nature is warfare against us and we all lose eventually to some type of disease process. (MRCA has become a huge problem in medicine and our clean rooms for electronic microdevice manufacture, because of the nature of ever smaller measurement tolerances, are in an increasing need of better environmental controls for particulates and bacteria.)

Well... Thank you... And yourself?

Luckily I am a contractor... Work is slowed a bit more this past month... I have half the employees than last year. I don't really worry about my income, it is what I can pay my people I worry about and the cost of insurance. (I'm not a cheap liberal bastard who doesn't provide fully paid health and dental benefits for an employee - they do have to chip in for their family and the rates are going up.) Looks like I am going to have to knock off two or three next week. Tough choices when you are down to a dozen to chose from...

Any decision as to which service your leaning toward?

I received a notification from a active duty Navy You.tube contact. He says that "GM" "A" school is at Great Lakes. Upon completion of "A" school graduates are sent off too "C" school in Virginia. He didn't state where in Virginia the school was. He did mention though that there are several types of "GM's" So it's best to know which one you would desire to be. He also mentioned that the GM's on his Destroyer largely do computer based work. Hope this info helps you in making your selection. good Luck. Jim
