Note: As a boy in my late teens, I once loved another boy named Bobby Griffith (Prayers for Bobby) ,who was either made to, or came to believe himself unworthy of G-Ds' love, or anyone else's for that matter! As many of you may know, out of despair and/or low self esteem, he took his own life!

Come molti di voi forse sapranno, a causa della disperazione e/o della mancanza di autostima, si è tolto la vita.
My personal mission is to see that other young people, gay and straight, are made aware of their immense value, and that their lives are in fact precious to a most loving and compassionate G-D! And that he will definately have a place for them at his table! I wish for them to be aware that they are precious to me as well and my table will always have room!
I also wish for people to know that I care
deeply for non believers, agnostics and atheists alike, and would never dream of insulting them, by imposing my views or proselytizing to them or anyone!

Movies:
My Mothers home in Southern California has a film library of over 15k titles. She, for over 20yrs has collected movies from between 1929-1949. So as you might imagine , I grew up on a diet of classic movies! Probably my favorite "Classic Movie " is MGMs' 1939 "The Women".Though I have many favorites! Ivory Merchants 1987 film "Maurice" is a masterpiece. I also love Sally Potters' 1992 film adaptation of Virginia Woolfs' novel "Orlando" starring the fabulous Tilda Swinton(Lion Witch and Wardrobe)
Music:
I'm still stuck on British music from my youth, particularly 4AD bands like "The Cocteau Twins" or "Dead Can Dance". I'm also fond of 16th and 17th century Italian and English Choral music. This would include composers such as Carlo Gesualdo, Palestrina or Thomas Tallis.
Books:
I'm not much into fiction these days. I used to read all of Anne Rices' novels. Today mostly historical or political works, authors and works like the late Barbara Tuchmans' '"A Distant Mirror", or William Manchesters' "A World Lit Only By Fire". One book that has had a profound impact on my spirituality was written by a Berkeley professor named Carol Lee Flinders, it is entitled "Enduring Grace, Living Portraits Of 7 Women Mystics In The Western Tradition". Flinders also co authored a famous vegeterian cookbook in the late 1960s entitled "Laurels Kitchen".

Thanks for all the comments! Small correction, but Hashem actually means "The Name." No, I'm Ashkenazi. My father is from Spain, but most of my mother's family is from Northern Europe. From Germany and up. If my mother were from Spain, then yes, I would be Sephardic. I didn't understand your last post, the one where you apologized at the end.
