I some how got a linked comment from you and I can't respond to it from my video. How did you do that? But to answer your question, it always depends on the person, I'd say playing a woodwind first makes playing brass easier in the future. It is harder for a brass player such as the trumpet to switch to a reeded instrument such as the clarinet, but the other way around makes it much easier, that way if you're not happy with clarinet in any way you know trumpet might work for you and you could possibly switch. if you're buying a new instrument ask the shop to let you try the 2 out and see which you like. Hope this helps. :)
