Made up of three 11 year olds, this group is writing some rocking music.
About Me:

Like many of their friends this group of 11 year olds Hunter, Tug and Mathew - had studied music for several years and decided to get together as a group in 2005 practicing twice a week under the direction of Dennis Descrete, a professional musician and troubadour.

The idea of Video Games came about when Dennis found the boys playing video games every time he turned his head. Probably in desperaton, Dennis told them they ought to write a song about video games and the next week the boys came to practice with 2 verses. Playing together, they worked out the the sound track and Hunter's Mom worked with him on the remaining lyrics. Saturday mornings, as the sound rocked up the basement stairs, visitors just couldn't stop humming the contagious tune. And soon they were asked to perform at local schools. As they started playing the song, kids in the audience were up and dancing and the teachers were caught up in the excitement as well.

The enthusiasm of this group was just awesome and more invites poured in but it was difficult for these young kids to get away from their busy school and sports schedule so plans were soon underway to capture the performance in a music video so others could enjoy the show. A historic theatre was contacted and the boys invited their friends and an impressive line up of pre teen talent for the staged performance and the video was made on August 28th, 2005.

They are working on their next two original songs. Like video games, the new tunes are about experiences in the daily lives of this pre teen age group.

I hear that when many people on youtube are bored, they take out their anger on some band's channel. Couldn't we just argue about the best way to prepare a turkey?

"The Black Out Band is a musical trio ahead of their time. Hunter, Tug, and Matthew are three talented eleven-year-olds with similar musical passions who are more musically progressive than many artists twice their age!"

" very musically talented"

"Hunter has been playing guitar for four years, with an enigmatic vocal presence that is slightly reminiscent of Neil Young."
