Adrian...I was successful in loading GB by this procedure. One problem thou, right after I did this and loaded all of my apps etc. Verizon did an update and I lost my root. Long story short I had to redo it all over. Is there a way to block any updates from Verizon?

Can I use the 602.sbf.zip to install gingerbread (like I did to reinstall Froyo.sbf) with RSD lite, then use my z4root to root my droidx. I tried the part 1 and part 2 but got a failed install notice on part 1.
