I grew up in Vernon, New Jersey and have worked as a professional musician since graduating form the University of Rochester in 1996 with a BA in English. I've dressed as a robot (Sonar, 2000-2003), salsa'ed badly (Chupacabra, 1997-2001), taken requests (The Reef, 2004-2007), and backed up a handful of national acts, most notably Otis Taylor and Liza Oxnard. For a while I was also a booking agent (national agency Watermark Media) - small-time, but full-service.I'm currently getting to know the physical and biological sciences via the University of Colorado at Boulder, assisting with clinical research in the ER at Denver Health Medical Center, and working with a student pre-health group. I'm also accompanying a vocal performance class and doing occasional dueling piano shows. In 2009 I took the MCAT, got into medical school, shadowed an amazing family physician, began performing at Sing Sing in Denver, cried during the finale to "Battlestar Galactica," recorded ten seconds of piano for the original score to a major motion picture, and got my daughter off of training wheels, all without ever once eating "Rocky Mountain Oysters" or "Balut." My hobbies include web design and upholding the stereotype that Asians are Mathletes.
