Amen!! They were born just down the road from where my girlfriend was born in Wise County, VA. They truly are one of the greatest bluegrass bands ever.

Doesn't sound like Reggae. To me, it sounds like he's rushing the song...He can do it. Hes' the owner, but I like the original version better, not sped up.

Bob could carry a tune, but he had an unpleasant voice. He didn't go off-key when he sang...it just didn't sound very good most of the time. He was a fantastic song writer though.

Too bad this version is just lip-sync of the '69 studio version. It would have been nice to hear how they sounded at the time.

According to everything I've seen, Serial # 82505 was made in 1942, not 1943.

@iveco321 Although Duane Eddy played a Gretsch, the guitar he is playing is a Guild. Check out the headstock.
