A footage of me live on a Japanese Exhibition held by University of Indonesia's Faculty of Linguistic on June 2011. Before you go much further, the quality is VERY VERY looow. It was recorded by my best friend's phone since somehow we forgot the camera that day. It was a karaoke contest. I didn't won. But at least I hopped on all the fun.
The reason I upload this thing is basically to showcase that I'm not just a vocalist who relies on edits and technology. Singing live isn't an easy thing to do and I do put effort on it. I practiced for weeks and I swore my hands were cold at the time and I could feel I'm actually shivering. It was thrilling. It was fun.
I know some of you are bothered with the way I look, the way I sing, my accent, whatever whatever etc. etc. etc. Again, if you don't feel like this is enjoyable, just leave the video. I MEAN, IT'S VERY EASY. SEE THAT "CLOSE WINDOW" BUTTON ON THE CORNER OF YOUR BROWSER? Kind and polite constructive feedback are very welcome but complains and nags, meh.
Original song is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZM_rzQ... My favorite remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4pVnY... I used a piano karaoke version from NicoNicoDouga (too lazy to get link, but it's there, I swear)
A little backstory if you don't mind:
For those of you who don't know, "Saihate" (eng. "Furthest End") is actually a farewell song, sung by someone who attends a funeral of a loved one. The singer wonders how the afterlife is like and wishes that his/her loved one finds a better place there.
I dressed the way Miku is pictured on every PV/artworks created for the song and carried an orange daisy (I was going to look for a red poppy, I couldn't find one. I literally went circling the town for multiple times just to find the right prop).
This was recorded on the 25th of June. *Right the very next day*, my grandfather passed away and I was about to visit him around July. I missed his funeral since we didn't manage to get a ticket right away (he lived on another city across the island and it was holiday season). Of course I was upset. The least I could do was planted that prop daisy on his grave and wished him a peaceful journey as soon as I got there.
It did happen and I spent the whole night when he passed thinking, "I just asked the audience to mourn with me yesterday." I wasn't sure how I felt that day but all I know now that my prayers are with him and of course, this song is automatically dedicated to him.

MY FIRST PONY REMIX *whistles*
I joined mylittleremix recently and the members there have some mad (pony) music skills. And I've been consumed with the idea of Solar Empire vs. Lunar Republic too and when I heard Not A Clever Pony's "For The New Lunar Republic" I just can't help about thinking some ode to add up.
So yeah.

And check out some cool Remixes: Makkon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nh_nhU... (EPIC!) General Mumble http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXHPZu... (My kind of electronic music) Jeffthestrider http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UICTaJ... (This dreamlike feeling...)

Lyrics:
B: Regina noctis pro nobis.
A: With this hymn, I shall sing to you For I'll stand, We will subdue For a lunar revolution Moonlight's reign shall be reformed
C: Mundus noctis aeternae velit. Mundus vult lunae. Lunae lumen lucidus orbis erit.
B: Sacra Luna. Nos coniungamus. Sit luna oriatur.
A: Endless night will rise above us With the guidance from the stars For this our revolution Moonlight's throne shall be reborn
B: In luna credimus. Lunae lumen habet claritatem veritatis. Lunae lumen in mundo, Lunae lumen in me.
C: Cantate ei regnum. Cantate ei gloriam. Sidera ducet nos. Luna nos protegat.
A: Shall be reborn
(forgive my google translate latin pffft)

Here is my (kinda late) submission for february, it focuses on the melancholy feel that we all sometimes get when in solitude. Composing music takes up a ton of your life, you'll start becoming more and more isolated and in turn become more lost in your work. One of my pony musician friends Philly, said some wise words...
"Music is a path of solitude. You can collab with other musicians, sure. But at the end of the day, you need to practice your scales, chords, articulations, compositions by yourself for hours on end."
So yes the download is being processed right now, should be up soon. Quite a bit of audio engineering went into this as well, i normally just do a quick EQ clean up, but this time I decided to EQ every single instrument and do a final mastering pass on the whole mix so I hope it shows. The below paragraph is just my thoughts on making music and solitude, don't feel obligated to read it. Thanks for listening!
Solitude is a can be a blessing and a curse, on one had you have peace and quiet, with no one bothering you, no siblings to annoy you or mess your stuff up, being able to work on something without any distractions, your just there, alone with your thoughts. On the other hand solitude can lead to isolation, which is worse. Having no one to say hello to when they walk in the door, or having no one to share your experiences with or talk to. I wrote this song mainly because it reflects the journey vie had with writing music. Especially with my last song Adventures in equestrian, I pretty much isolated myself completely from the outside world. I would go in my studio, work for 6 hours then eat some food then work on other stuff, then bed.

First remix I've ever done (and first song in years), not sure if the tune is recognizable. It's the classic MLP theme done in a slow, minor key. And a whole bunch of other crap thrown in there.
Obviously not complete, I have a lot of balancing and mixing to do (still trying to figure out the software). You can download the track here: http://tindeck.com/listen/cskj
an older, 20% lamer version here: http://tindeck.com/listen/lovf background: http://makkon.deviantart.com/#/d3evmoh
Cubase5, Kontakt 4. Libraries are: Symphobia, Cinematic Guitars, LA Scoring Strings (didn't use them very well), and Evolve Mutations.
