The easiest way to do this is to play by yourself through the level and die as many times as you want. Then when you're getting close to the end save and quit. If you resume campagin and finish without dying then it will unlock as well.

I love Bungie but I'm afraid that if they update Halo: CE they might change things that they weren't happy with at launch. Because a different developer is doing the remake they will probably feel more pressure to preserve the game in it's original form.
