This is the Binderbird. I got this car in 1978 right out of high school. In 1988 I decided to turn it into a 4X4. It is not on a 4X4 frame, it is on the original Firebird subframe. It steers and drives perfect. It has the original deluxe interior, original dash pad and bench buckets with factory A/C, all in perfect condition plus it still has the original AM radio.
It has an International 345 torque monster ported and polished with a three angle valve job. The heads are also shaved .037 with shim style head gaskets for best compression. I installed a 727 torqueflite, dana 20 transfer case and dana 44 axles front and rear with 4.09 gears and track lock differentials.
This car is a rocket! It out climbs everything I've been up against. It does a 907 RTI on the ramp. We take it rock crawling at disney oklahoma every chance we get. We get surrounded at every stop we make. This car is really out of sight.
