My brand of music/style of music is entirely my own. While I cant say I make a very large contribution to the whole of hip-hop culture, I know what it means because I have lived as a part of it. I have grown with it, as it has grown with me, like a childhood friend always communicating with me. As Cyril Connoly said, Its more important to write for the self and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self. I believe in standing up for what you believe in. My music is meant to evoke a specific mood, as well as to be intellectual enough to bring about thought and growth in the listener in the real world. Think about it like this, if you cant change you, then I cant either. My influences are Canibus, Nas, Sage Francis, the duo Atmosphere, Copywrite, KRS-ONE, Rakim, Immortal Technique, Ill Bill, and my family.
