I MAKE MOVIES ABOUT MOVIES - by genre, by decades, star tributes, films from the list of 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. I also enjoy highlighting underrated and under-appreciated films, sometimes by putting on scenes from them or by posting the film's original trailers and previews.
My eyeball icon derives from the film "The Man With the Movie Camera," (1929), directed by Dziga Vertov, one of my favorite films.

Fassbinder, John Cassavettes, - I rank all these among my favorite film directors and have seen everything directed by every one of them. But I also enjoy an eclectic mix of other tastes as well - old Hammer Studios horror favorites, foreign and independent films, world cinema, undervalued gems, films that enrich my life, really. I try my darndest to not be influenced by American consumerist (lack of) culture and rarely turn on the TV (except to watch DVD's, which I consider to be the greatest invention since the sewing needle or breath mints.)
