About this user
My name is Bill Wargo from Alligator Point, FL. I'm a retired teacher, professor, and educator. I'm the director of the Alligator Point Sea Turtle Patrol, Inc. and hold MTP (Marine Turtle Permit)151 issued by FWC (Florida Wildlife Commission). I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. I've had a wonderful career that allowed me to work with many fine students, colleagues, and others that has taken me around the world and to many interesting faraway places. I've owned property on Alligator Point since 1973 and have been a permanent resident since 1980. I retired in January, 2003, and became director of the turtle patrol in 2004. For me, monitoring and protecting marine sea turtles is a labor of love which is made possible by a wonderful group of equally dedicated volunteers who are the backbone of our success along with tremendous support from the community as a whole.
