Everybody knows that 99% of Turkey is muslim,almost everybody thinks that 99% of Turkey is a Sunni muslim like the most muslims in the world. Alevism is based on Shii Islam, Shamanism and humanism. Shaman rituals and Islam in one religion. The reason that we are Alevi's is because the original religion of Turks is Shamanism(Tengriism), when the Turks moved to the west they got influenced by Islam. The Turkmens(Alevi's) lived in Khorasan. But the Mongols destroyed the area and they escaped to the Ottoman Empire(Central-Anatolia) in the 16th century. The Turkmens in the Ottoman Empire didn't wanted to lose their own culture and held their Shaman rituals and converted to Islam. We don't have Ramadan, we don't go to the mosque, we don't pray five times a day. We are humanist, democrat, we hate racism. We respect all the peoples on earth.
