@jamco2 Most people tend to avoid hitting the other car in the first place. Hint: What are the EuroNCAP guys testing..? Offset testing is important. It sounds highly unlikely that Fifth Gear removed the engine block. What would they gain by doing that?

@neboi2299 I was not necessarily talking about the new 9-5. Back in the day, the old manual transmission Saabs could really kick away from Porsches and other German cars. The new 9-5 is a very heavy (and extremely safe) vehicle -- it is by far not a sports car. It is still easy to pass other cars...
