My name isn't Ted and I'm not very big. I'm from Hereford (born 1950), live in South Wales now. I grew up loving folk music - the Incredible String Band are my all-time favourite - thats where the name Big Ted comes from. I'm a Christian; occasional lay preacher. I enjoy strumming on the guitar and would like to be able to play properly, but I'm far too lazy to get into serious lessons and practice sessions so I'm happy with my three or four basic chords. I know I can't sing but I don't really care - I'm just having fun here! Sorry for the fuzzy videos, I can't afford a decent camera. Anyway I feel pretty fuzzy most of the time. I trained as a teacher (West Midlands College in Walsall) but never actually taught; I worked 30 years as a Civil Servant in Govt. Statistics, Staff Training, Welfare and finally Patent Office, based in Newport & Cardiff. Part-time work with funeral directors, school exam invigilation, plus a short stint in a toy factory since taking early retirement in 2004.
