I have a friend who is Syrian and I was supposed to go see him and visit Damascus. We planned it 4 years. And now I have no idea if he is alive or if he stayed. He was/is taking care of his mother so I am sure he stayed. It's very upsetting. I am afraid to send mail,and help him with a little food money or whatever. I'm afraid he might be seen as an agitator if I do this.
