This is a wonderful recording. When I was young, my father worked with Mr Bohr's brother, and he got us in when the hall was closed, and doing repairs of some kind. We saw all backstage, but the organ is what impressed me the most. The curtains were opened, and I was that close to it. Becomming an...

Well, I will rephrase. It was as good as someone who was dying with cancer, and in almost constant pain could get. Just the fact that he could still performe like that was a miracle. If there was anyone who could play anything as well as he could in his prime, I would love to meet tham.

@willowthebored Even with the cancer, No one I know could play the way he could. Especially with his awsome memory to just know all these pieces without music. Trur, the organ itself was a product of the 80's, but Virgil will be with us always.

@janiscortese I agree. And as far as that jerk a couple comments back saying he was a clown, AND appalingly American, well he can get his butt up there and perform with even a tiny bit of Virgil's talent then he can say what he wants. I don't think we will see another like Virgil in our life time

One thing I can tell you. The organ that Virgil is playing now might be bigger and even more elaborate that the wanamaker, but he is playing it with as much heart as he played this piece we are hearing now.
