There are few times in one's life when you get the chance to witness a "best ever" person performing his/her craft. Like other musical pioneers who carved their own sound: Django Reinhardt, Chet Atkins, Jimmi Hendrix, John Lennon, Bela Fleck -- now comes Tommy Emmanuel. An absolute virtuoso guitarist, there is NO style which Mr. Emmanuel cannot coax out of his wooden strung-steel box.

He is a consummate "Performer" (capital P), on stage since the age of 6 in his native Australia. Now famous all over the world (EXCEPT THE U.S.A... get with it, America!), Tommy tours to over 300 gigs per year, criss-crossing the globe -- attaining a ravenous fan base, many of whom attend his concerts every year, or follow him around to several concerts at a time (ala the "Deadheads" from the Grateful Dead!). Once you see Mr. Emmanuel perform his craft, you will be a lifelong fan.

Another fantastic performer, coming on-scene lately -- has made a change from a pure jazz guitarist to a fingerstyle master -- and his name is Adam Rafferty. Adam has merged jazz, bebop, fingerstyle, and a little bit of "pop" music into a style unlike any other guitarist today. I call it "The Rafferty Style" or "The Swing Monster Style". Like Tommy Emmanuel, Adam has dedicated his life to finding his musical voice -- and the niche he has carved in the last two years will both entertain and astound you. And, like Tommy, Adam is educating the young guitarists all around the world with his unselfish publishing of guitar tabs and guitar lessons which are available on YouTube and his own channel, adamrafferty.com.

One other performer has "made the grade" to be featured here exclusively. He calls himself "fretkillr" -- but rumor has it that he is a famous singer/songwriter who posts anonymously due to legal reasons with his record label. Whoever he is (and don't waste time trying to guess -- he won't tell you!), he has earned a spot next to the greatest guitarists of our day, Tommy Emmanuel and Adam Rafferty - right here in the Acoustic Virtuosity Archives.
