Big D, Born Devante Rashad Wright on Feb.20th 1993, Raised In West Palm Beach,FL,Love music very much, I never planned to do this for the rest of my life but i see music as my only way out, i gained a passion for music at the age of 9, i listened to erykah badu, the fugees, jay-z, trick daddy, biggie smalls, tupac etc. And i always seen myself performing live in front of thousands of people just doing what i loved.
My father Christopher Wright was a unsigned artist and he made really good music, i would listen to his songs every day and sort of mix his lyrics around and made the lyrics how i wanted it to be, i never really had a bond with my father and still don't til this day, he didnt want me at all and he left my mother Deirdre Wells to take care of me and my sister Christian Wright by herself. I hated him so much that one day i picked up pen and grabbed some paper and wrote a song about how much i hated him, then i wrote a song about how i didn't want to ever see him again, then i really got in the habit of writing songs, i stopped writing about my father and started writing about my dreams, life, cars, money, big houses and stuff like that and i was really good at it for my age.
By the time i was 11 years old i had 230 songs writtin and i really wanted to record them all, so i went and bout i microphone and downloaded some recording software, and everyday i would spent countless hours in my room recording music, The quality didn't sound good but the lyrics i was saying and the way i delivered my lyrics you know my flow it was something nobody in my neighbor hood ever heard.
i was something special and that's when i knew that music was meant for me. I was amazed by my own talents i started to rap a few bars every where i went.
and people would notice me and espect for me to be rapping every time they saw me.
I recorded my first single at the age of 15 it was tilted "it don't stop" and i think i burned like 500 copies of that song and only sold like 14 lol but its all good because that motivated me to get back in the studio and grind harder. i dropped several songs with a group i joined called the gudda boyz, we were 6 dudes who went to the same school and who really liked to make music so we formed a group and dropped our first mixtape titled 'Gudda Shit Vol.1" hers the link if you wanna download it http://www.datpiff.com/Gudda_Boyz_Gudda_Shit_Vol1.m94201.htm
but any way i think that mixtape did 1000 downloads the first week and 5,000 the first month. we wasn't the best rappers but we dam sure felt like it you couldn't tell us shit and if you hated us then it was fuck everything you stand for. We were kind of like brothers and we would always have each others back.
Two months after that i decided to go solo for a while and work on my own individual mixtape. so i hooked up with this dude named kbo. he was a funny looking ass dude and talked very funny but hey he was helping me out. he produced my second single Niggaz Rapping, i didnt sell that one but everybody loved it. it was a song that i really wanted to express the way i feel and how i cant stand people who talk shit ya know and it featured my boy soulja red and he did a great job on the hook and the second verse, And 2 weeks after my single was released i dropped my solo mixtape titled Gudda The Mixtape and i named it that to show people what im considered and what i shall always be.
and that did 3,000 downloads the first week and 10,000 downloads the first month i was happy as hell because i felt like can't nobody fuck with me i'm the best.
One Year Later 17 years old and im still at it getting ready to drop a whole lot of stuff and im not taking it easy on anybody.
I hope someone signs me soon
