Birmingham Community Empowerment Network (b:cen) has been working since 2003 to help communities get involved in decisions and action to improve neighbourhoods in Birmingham (UK). We do this by helping community and voluntary groups and active citizens to link up and get involved in Community Networks. We support these networks and their members with small grants and staff time. We help representatives of Community Networks get a voice in local decisions. Our aim is for Community Networks to be: inclusive, effective, open and honest. For more information please visit our website.
