BD is a published creative writer besides hockey blogger. He runs IslandersIndependent.com as well as RangersIndependent.com

He was a featured blogger on Hockeybuzz.com. He was also contributor and guest editor for former VP of Media Relations, Chris Botta's IslandersPointBlank.com hockey blog.

He is one of the original members of the NY Islander's Blog Box program.

He, along with his Ranger fan blogging brother, created the Sibling Rivalry blogs which MIGHT make it's way to podcast or video this season.

BD has been written up in Sports Illustrated, TSN.ca, NY Times hockey blog, Yahoo's hockey blog and SportsBusiness Journal.

By day, BD is a technology, design and production guru for a large 100 year old publishing firm in NYC. Sure, he awaits to be rescued from his tower by a better paycheck in the world of writing. But until then, he is a chubby, gregarious, and witty fellow stuck in twow orlds.In 2008, he will attempt his first fiction novel. So hopefully, he will actually start by 2009 ... err, let's make that 2010.
