The Faith to SPEAK UP!!!!

It CAN be tough to speak out when, all around, people are telling you to be quiet. Sometimes it's the loud silence of peer pressure. For example, at a business meeting, speaker after speaker talks in support of a motion. Some are silent; no one speaks against. You believe the motion is dangerous, even immoral. Do you speak, the lone voice against? What enables this blind beggar----the "nobody" in the crowd, for sure-----to speak up, despite loud voices raised to silence him? Perhaps, over the years, he's learned NOT to let his heart be silenced by inner voices of doubt, fear, disapproval. Perhaps his desire to see overcomes his fear. But Jesus names the deepest source of all: FAITH. His faith gave him the determination to speak, the will to jump when Jesus called.
