The new, dynamic reality/comedy series "Bewick and Mack" features a middle class, Black family named the Kearneys who share a two family flat on a street called Bewick on Detroit's east side. The Kearneys have been community residents for almost 50 years and have experienced many community changes including the increase in crime, corruption, broken homes, vacant buildings, and unemployment that impact their lives. Yet, in spite of these changes, they have remained strong, committed. Their commitment to family and to the City of Detroit illustrates how love and cooperation can make a difference in a community. The show also highlights the activities on the corner of Bewick and Mack and the antics of the street lady "Toosweet" who often interacts with the Kearney family.
