This is indeed Aretha Franklin. It was taken from her 1961 album "Aretha With the Ray Bryant Combo". I've had the original vinyl recording of this for many years and have enjoyed it thoroughly. It's the same album that gave us "Who Needs You" and "Maybe I Am a Fool" (among other wonderful pieces).
