These two were terrific. I'm so glad that they were the performers I saw the first time I saw this delightful show.

@FinnyFish17 I think that few Republicans, even, would agree with you, but I suppose, in the end, it's a subjective impression. I'm not sure what your criteria is for public speaking, but it's hard to imagine making a serious argument that GWB was the better public speaker of the two.

Sheer perfection. What a gorgeous duet, what phenomenal singers. There's no greater proof than this that sublime art stirs something unique in the human soul.

Two glorious singers, but the real news is sitting at the piano. Peter Mills is one of the best young up-and-coming musical theater composer-lyricists this country has right now.

@SideShowPhil : The british would drop the "r" at the end of a vowel, but not an initial "r" (as in "river" or "fruit") as she does. Have a care before you recommend travel plans. This is definitely an "r" problem.

What an absolutely exquisite instrument she has. So many colors in this voice--but never forced, moving effortlessly through some very difficult registers. Absolutely caresses the lyric. I was lucky enough to see her do this live.

Wow--amazing that the Cheryl/Larry discussion of Larry's leaving town was not in the original outline. It's one of the funniest scenes in the history of that show.

Also: the point is not (as some posters have indicated) whether or not he was "brave" for getting up in front of people and doing this, nor is it whether or not the critics here might have been able to sing it better. The fact that he sings marginally better than the average youtube poster does...

@aarontenor I'm not fighting you, I'm arguing with you. And you should be open to such an argument whenever you post public comments. I still maintain Warlow, too, had "zero difficulty," and could have sung it as smooth as silk...if that's what the song required.
