The members have been performing worldwide as individuals, but joined together to find something more fulfilling, where the importance truly lies in the joy that is within the music, and to communicate that joy to their audiences.
These six young, Berlin-based musicians represent Romania, Israel, Venezuela, Germany, the United States and Turkey. Berlin Counterpoint takes cues from all of these musical backgrounds to develop a style all their own, free from the bounds of international borders. They are known for their sparkling sound, homogeneous virtuosity, and adventurous yet thoughtful interpretations.
Their ever-growing repertoire, spanning from Baroque to Contemporary, includes traditional works and arrangements for wind quintet and piano, as well as their own compositions and other new works commissioned from young composers. The group performs in varying instrumentation, from duo to sextet, and opens their doors to collaborations with guest artists.
